tuesday, 9/5: pre-arrival

Bruce and John arrive. Arrangements have been made at the Hotel Windsor. Highly recommended; huge rooms, great location.

wednesday, 9/6: b-day

SisTAH Eagle lands arrives on 9/6, the actual birthday. With the help of several friends at The Curtis Institute of Music, as well as Shaune, The siblings now know as "You Bastards" surprise Christopher during the first formal tea of the academic year. A first stop at a nearby pub, where the World Cup is being watched, LOUDLY, at $20 a head. In our frequent attempt to get free food, we mention the birthday. Our waitress is so enamored of our situation that she puts a birthday candle in the fries we order. We get no free food, but the curry sauce is great! After, we have a quick stop at the Copa Banana, and dinner is at Marra's in South Philadelphia. Cheap wine and awesome food abound. We're all pretty pleased with our selections, but Chris' tortellini with cream sauce is "da bomb". Some of the best pizza I've had.
